This aircraft took off from Hampstead Norris on a gunnery training mission. Whilst flying at 2,000 feet the port engine failed and the pilot, Flying Officer C. E. Fothergill, made a forced landing at about 3:15pm near Radley Farm. There were no reports of any injuries to the crew.
